My friend, Peter Knottenbelt, Head of Mining Department, Universty of Johannesburg, identified a school close to Alexandra, a very poor township of Johannesburg. It is a disadvantaged junior school for physical disabled children. It is called “Ithembelihle Lsen School”. The meaning of Ithembelihle is "Place of Good Hope".

1. On June 17th 2008 Leonor Ngozi wrote her THANK YOU LETTER OF DONATION:

As Principal of the ITHEMBELIHLE LSEN SCHOOL I would like to thank the zitherhausmusik web site and Mr Hans Waskoenig for the generous donation to our school which is in constant need of support for a variety of projects.
The donation made previously of R 5000.00 has been utilized as follows:

Pack heater R 3135.00.

Heat packs to use with the heating machine 10 packs at R 200.00 each which amountsto R 2000.00.

These items will aid our physiotherapy department in the vital job they do as the heat packs enable them to make the muscles warmer and thus it is easier to work on the children who need physiotherapy every day.

Any further donation will be used to again serve the interests of the school in the most appropriate ways and will be acknowledged similarly to this.

As always any support for our school is greatly appreciated!!

Attached to this E-mail you will find photos of the equipment and also of the school.

Our school greatly appreciates the generous donation of R 1 170. We have indeed put this money to great use by purchasing two Talara Communication devices for our learners who are unable to communicate verbally. This Talara Communication device enables our learners to communicate with educators and fellow learners by pressing on a certain picture which corresponds with a verbal pre recorded message.

Attached you will find pictures of two of our learners using the Talara Device.

We hope this letter is in  order and may you be richly blessed.

Thank You in Education
